Xiaomi on Tuesday launched its latest flagship Android tablet, the Xiaomi Pad 8, in India. Marketed as India’s thinnest flagship Android tablet in 2026, the Pad 8 combines high performance, a large battery, and a premium display for both work and entertainment purposes.
Price and Availability in India
The Xiaomi Pad 8 starts at ₹33,999 for the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, while the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at ₹36,999. Xiaomi also offers a Nano Texture variant and a Creators Edition, priced at ₹38,999 and above.
As part of a launch promotion, SBI Bank credit card EMI users can get a discount of up to ₹3,000, bringing the effective starting price to ₹30,999. The tablet will be available for purchase from March 17, 2026, through Amazon, Xiaomi’s website, and Xiaomi retail stores.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 features an 11-inch 3.2K display with a 144Hz refresh rate, delivering smooth visuals and high responsiveness. With up to 800 nits brightness, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos support, the tablet offers a rich multimedia experience. Xiaomi emphasizes the lightweight and slim design, making it convenient for on-the-go use.
Performance Powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 4
The tablet is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, which promises 32% improved CPU performance and over 50% higher GPU performance. It runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3, featuring a new interface, customizable widgets, and enhanced multitasking. The tablet also includes a workstation mode, enabling smooth operation of multiple apps simultaneously, mimicking a laptop experience.
Battery and Accessories
The Xiaomi Pad 8 packs a 9,200mAh battery with 45W fast charging support, along with a 67W charger included in the box. Xiaomi has also launched the Focus Pen Pro, offering 16,000+ pressure levels and ultra-low latency, ideal for sketching, designing, and note-taking. Optional accessories like a keyboard and cover enhance the tablet’s productivity, making it suitable as a portable work device.
