Fans waiting for Brahmastra 2 finally have a clear update. The much-anticipated sequel to Brahmastra Part One: Shiva has been in discussion for years, but there was little clarity on when work would actually begin—until now.

Producer Namit Malhotra recently revealed at CinemaCon 2026 that Ranbir Kapoor will start working on Brahmastra 2 after completing his current project, Ramayana: Part 1. This means the sequel is very much in the pipeline, but its timeline depends on the completion of Ramayana.

The first film, directed by Ayan Mukerji, ended on a cliffhanger, teasing the deeper story of Dev and Amrita. That ending created massive anticipation, and fans have been eagerly waiting to see how the story unfolds in the next part.

Released in 2022, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva featured a star-studded cast including Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan, along with memorable appearances by Shah Rukh Khan and Nagarjuna. The film performed well at the box office and laid the foundation for a larger cinematic universe.
