How to lock WhatsApp chats without using third-party apps

If you use WhatsApp, you might not be familiar with all of its features. Previously, locking a specific chat required a third-party application, but now you can do it directly within WhatsApp—no additional apps required.

You can lock a chat like this:

First, make sure your WhatsApp is updated to the latest version, as older versions may not display new features.

Open the chat you want to lock—it can be a personal or important conversation.
Press and hold the chat for a few seconds. A menu will appear on your screen. Look for the “Lock Chat” option.
Tap it to secure the chat.
