The most notable category is the Featured category, which includes animated wallpapers for the first time. WhatsApp has deliberately kept the movement slow and gradual, just enough so that the 's decision to
keep animations slow isn't a technical flaw, but rather a deliberate one. Fast movements can distract users from reading messages, as motion is a drag, and fast animations on screen can also be a hassle for users with certain accessibility needs.

Doodle and Minimal offer simple options
The Doodle category brings back wallpapers inspired by WhatsApp's classic doodle patterns, long familiar to users. The Minimal category takes the opposite approach, offering a plain white 't be long before it rolls out more widely.
