The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rain and thunderstorms in the capital Delhi on Thursday. Strong winds of up to 30-40 kilometers per hour are expected during this period. Traffic on Delhi's roads may be affected due to the heavy rain. The maximum temperature in the capital is expected to be around 31 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 26 degrees Celsius.

On Thursday, a warning of thunderstorms and rain has been issued for Ghaziabad , Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Moradabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Agra, Aligarh, Rae Bareli, Hardoi, Unnao, Etawah, Hamirpur, Amethi, Sultanpur, Azamgarh, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur and Deoria. The cyclonic circulation forming around southern Uttar Pradesh may worsen the weather further. The maximum temperature in Lucknow is expected to be around 31 and the minimum around 27 degrees Celsius.

Heavy rain and thunderstorm alerts have been issued for several districts in Bihar,
including West Champaran, East Champaran, Gaya, Jehanabad, Patna, Bhojpur, Gopalganj, Rohtas, Buxar, Vaishali, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Saharsa, Supaul, Purnia, Kishanganj, Araria, Katihar, Bhagalpur, Munger, Khagaria, and Lakhisarai. Patna is expected to have a maximum temperature of 32 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius.

Heavy rain in Bengal:
Winds coming from the Bay of Bengal are likely to have a clear impact on West Bengal. On Thursday, there is a warning of heavy rain and thunderstorms in Malda, Birbhum, Howrah, Kolkata, Darjeeling, Nadia, Durgapur, Kalimpong, Purulia, and Murshidabad. During this period, winds of up to 55-60 kmph are expected. The maximum temperature in Kolkata is expected to be 31 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 26 degrees Celsius.
