Want to Buy the Tata Punch? Some Variants Could Take Up to 168 Days for Delivery

If you're planning to bring home a Tata Punch this month, you may need to wait several weeks before getting your car. Tata Motors has announced variant-wise waiting periods for the Punch, with certain versions carrying a waiting period of up to 24 weeks, or around 168 days.

The Punch is available with petrol, CNG and electric powertrain options, giving buyers several choices depending on their budget and requirements.

Tata Punch Waiting Period Explained

For the petrol and CNG versions, the Smart variants reportedly have the longest waiting period of around 10 to 12 weeks.

Other petrol and CNG variants are expected to have a comparatively shorter waiting period of approximately 6 to 7 weeks.

The situation is different for the Punch EV. Its Smart 30 variant reportedly has the longest waiting period, ranging from 18 to 24 weeks. Other electric variants may have waiting periods of around 8 to 12 weeks, depending on the specific version.

Since delivery timelines can vary by city, dealership and variant, buyers should confirm the latest estimated delivery date before booking.

2026 Tata Punch Gets a Sharper Design

The updated Punch continues with its familiar compact SUV shape but receives several styling changes.

At the front, it gets slimmer LED daytime running lights, a redesigned black grille, updated LED headlamps and revised bumpers. The rear also receives connected LED taillights and a redesigned bumper.

The SUV is available with 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, adding to its updated appearance.

Multiple Variants and Colour Options

The Punch is offered in several variants, including Smart, Pure, Pure Plus, Adventure, Accomplished and Accomplished Plus S.

Buyers can also choose from colours such as Bengal Rouge, Caramel, Coorg Clouds, CyanTafic, Daytona Grey and Pristine White.

The Punch has also been one of Tata Motors' most popular models. Its sales performance has helped establish it as one of the strongest contenders in India's compact SUV segment.

Feature List Includes 360-Degree Camera

The updated Punch comes with several features designed to make everyday driving more convenient.

Depending on the variant, buyers can get a 360-degree camera, Blind View Monitor, auto-dimming IRVM, a large 10.24-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone charging and a Harman audio system.

The vehicle also offers a practical boot. The petrol version provides up to 366 litres of luggage capacity, while the CNG version has around 210 litres of usable boot space.

CNG Version Gets Dual-Cylinder Setup

One of the notable features of the Punch CNG is its twin-cylinder CNG setup. The arrangement is designed to make better use of available space while still providing usable luggage capacity.

This makes the CNG version an option for buyers who want lower running costs without completely sacrificing everyday practicality.

Safety Remains a Major Focus

The Punch comes with several safety features, including six airbags, electronic stability control, ABS, TPMS, reverse parking sensors and a 360-degree camera on applicable variants.

Tata Motors has also highlighted the vehicle's structural strength through its safety testing.

The Punch starts at around ₹5.70 lakh ex-showroom, while the final price varies depending on the powertrain and variant.

If you're planning to book one, don't forget to ask the dealer about the exact waiting period for your chosen variant and colour, as delivery timelines can differ considerably.
