Railway police are investigating whether the death was a suicide or an accident. According to reports, Simmachalam (25) was a resident of Raupalli in the Parvatipuram district of Andhra Pradesh. He worked at a chemical company in Hyderabad. He had married 19-year-old Bhavani just two months earlier.

Preliminary police investigations revealed that the couple was standing near the train steps as it passed through Bangali Railway Station in the Yadagirigutta Division when they fell from the train. The incident came to light when railway track maintenance workers discovered their bodies near the tracks. The bodies were taken to a hospital for postmortem examination, and the family was informed.
