The next phase of the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) recruitment process for sub-inspector and equivalent positions is underway. Candidates who pass the written examination will then participate in the physical test. According to the board's notification, the Physical Standard Test (PST) and document verification process will begin on January 5, 2026. This is a great opportunity for young people preparing for government jobs in the UP Police.

UP Police Recruitment:In this stage, all of the candidates' documents are checked. Their physical standards are also assessed. To ensure transparency in this process, the Board has established centers at eight major zonal headquarters across the state. Candidates are advised to download their admit cards from the official website and arrive at the specified time and place with all original documents. Only those who pass this stage will be eligible for the next stage, the Physical Efficiency Test.

UP Police SI Physical Test and DV/PST: Important Dates

According to the UP Police Recruitment Board, the DV/PST process for Sub-Inspector positions will begin on January 5, 2026, at various centers across the state. Centers have been set up in the state's eight zonal headquarters: Agra, Meerut, Bareilly, Kanpur, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur. Candidates have been assigned different dates based on their roll number series.

In this stage, candidates will be physically fit. The main criteria are as follows:

  • Male Candidates (Gen/OBC/SC): Height minimum 168 cms and Chest 79 cms (84 cms when expanded).
  • Male Candidates (ST): Height 160 cm and Chest 77 cm (82 cm when expanded).
  • Female Candidates (Gen/OBC/SC): Height minimum 152 cm and weight minimum 40 kg.
  • Female Candidate (ST): Height 147 cm and Weight Minimum 40 kg.

Documents required for Document Verification (DV)

Candidates must bring all their original certificates and two self-attested photocopies during the UP Police Recruitment document verification process. The key documents are listed below:

  • Admit Card: Special admit card issued for DV/PST.
  • Identity Card: Aadhar Card, PAN Card or Voter ID.
  • Educational Certificates: High School, Intermediate and Graduation mark sheets and degrees.
  • Reservation Certificate: Caste Certificate, Residence Certificate and EWS Certificate (if applicable).
  • Passport Size Photographs: At least 4-5 latest colour photographs.

Candidates can download their admit card by visiting the board's official website, uppbpb.gov.in. They will need to enter details such as their registration number and date of birth. Strictly adhere to the reporting time indicated on the admit card, as late arrival will result in denial of entry to the center.
