Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by a massive 55 runs in Match 67 of IPL 2026. This match saw a heated exchange between Virat Kohli and Travis Head.

Virat Kohli was overjoyed when Rasikh Salam dismissed Travis Head for 26. When Kohli came out to bat, Travis Head urged him to play aggressive shots, to which Kohli pointed to Head and asked, “Why don’t you come out to bowl?” This exchange between the two players is being cited as the reason for the altercation.

After the match, when Travis Head extended a hand of friendship to Virat Kohli, Kohli refused to shake hands and instead ignored him. The video of this is making headlines on social media.

Following this incident, Travis Head’s wife, Jessica Davis, made a shocking statement. Davis stated that Virat Kohli insulted Travis Head after the team’s loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad, and then Kohli’s fans dragged her into the incident on social media.  Virat KohliJessica Davis was subjected to abuse by fans on social media. In her statement, Jessica Davis also stated that extremely hateful comments and private messages were also sent to her friends and family members.

Jessica faced trolling even during the 2023 World Cup.

In an advertisement for Australian media outlet The Advertiser, Jessica Davies explained that the IPL 2026 incident seemed to align with the 2023 World Cup. She received similar trolling comments and private messages after Australia defeated India in a World Cup match in 2023, as well as the World Test Championship final and the Boxing Day Test in 2024, which India lost by 184 runs.
