Toyota Hikes Prices of Fortuner, Innova and Other Models; SUVs Become Costlier

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has increased the prices of several of its vehicles in India, making popular models like the Fortuner and Innova more expensive. The price revision impacts a wide range of vehicles, including the Innova Crysta, Innova Highcross, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Glanza, Taisor, Hilux, and the premium Land Cruiser 300.

Price Hike Varies Across Models
The increase is not uniform and depends on the variant and powertrain. Overall, prices have gone up by ₹5,000 to ₹2.16 lakh, translating to a 0.1% to 2% hike, with most models witnessing an average increase of around 1.75%.

Fortuner and Innova See Notable Increase
Toyota’s flagship SUV, the Fortuner, has become costlier by approximately ₹69,000 across variants. Similarly, the Innova Crysta has seen a price hike of around ₹39,000, both reflecting an increase of about 1.75%.

The Innova Highcross has received a varied hike depending on the engine option. The strong hybrid variant is now costlier by roughly ₹54,000, while the petrol variant has seen an increase of about ₹39,000, or close to 2%.

Other Models Also Affected
Among other vehicles, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder saw a modest increase of ₹5,000, while the Glanza V AMT and Taisor became costlier by ₹20,000 and ₹22,000 respectively. The Hilux pickup’s price has gone up by around ₹56,000.

The biggest jump has been recorded for the Land Cruiser 300, with prices rising by as much as ₹2.16 lakh, making it the most affected model in the lineup.

Reason Behind the Price Revision
The company has attributed the hike to rising input and production costs, a trend seen across the automotive industry. Larger SUVs, due to higher manufacturing costs, have been impacted more significantly.

Strong Demand Continues
Despite the increase, Toyota’s lineup continues to perform well in the Indian market. The company reported strong sales in March 2026, with 37,194 units sold, marking a 23.8% year-on-year growth.
