PM Kisan Yojana: During the re-verification of PM Kisan beneficiaries, several names have been removed from the list. Be sure to check your status online before the next installment so that there are no delays in payment.
PM Kisan Yojana: Under the PM Kisan Yojana, eligible farmers are provided financial assistance of ₹2,000 every four months. So far, 21 installments of this scheme have been released. Millions of farmers across the country are awaiting the 22nd installment. A major update has emerged for farmers ahead of the 22nd installment.
Millions of names have been removed from the list during a re-verification of beneficiaries under the scheme. Therefore, it's important to check your status promptly. Find out why farmers' names are being removed and whether your name is included in this list.
Why are names being removed?
The government is continuously ensuring that only eligible farmers receive benefits under the scheme. To this end, it has launched a verification drive. The investigation has revealed two major reasons: first, changes in land records. The documents of farmers whose land was registered after February 1, 2019, are being re-examined. If ownership rights are not clarified before the deadline, eligibility may be questioned.
The second reason is family-related rules. According to the scheme, only one member of a family can receive benefits. In some cases, both husband and wife were receiving installments. In such cases, payments have been stopped. If the investigation finds you ok, the amount may be released. Otherwise, recovery may be required.
