The horrific face of Bhopal Police's hooliganism has come to light. An engineer of the city and brother-in-law of Balaghat DSP Ketan Adlak was stripped half-naked on the road at midnight and beaten so badly by the policemen that he died.
Bhopal Engineer Death by Police Brutality: Partying with friends late at night on the streets of Bhopal proved fatal for a 21-year-old engineer. The very policemen responsible for his safety became his enemies. Udit Gayki, the brother-in-law of a DSP posted in Balaghat, was brutally beaten by two policemen to the point where he died. This incident has shocked the entire city and raised a serious question about the working style of the police.
Udit had recently completed his engineering studies and was about to land a job in Bengaluru with a package of ₹8 lakh. He had come to Bhopal to collect his documents for an interview scheduled for just three days later. On Thursday night, he was partying with friends when constables Santosh Bamaniya and Saurabh Arya, posted at Piplani police station, arrived on a bike. They pulled Udit out of the car. Terrified, Udit tried to run, but one policeman caught him, and the other began brutally beating him with sticks.

Short PM report reveals that veins were ruptured due to beating.
After the beating, Udit's condition deteriorated and he began vomiting continuously. His friends immediately rushed him to the hospital, but upon arrival at AIIMS, doctors declared him dead. DCP Vivek Singh stated that the short post-mortem report clearly indicates that Udit did not die of a heart attack, but rather from the brutal assault. During the assault, he suffered severe injuries to his pancreas, which contributed to his death. This revelation has further deepened the suspicions surrounding the police's narrative.
After beating him, he demanded Rs 10,000.
Udit's friends have made another shocking allegation. They say that after assaulting him, the two policemen demanded 10,000 rupees from them to settle the matter. Following this incident, the two accused policemen, Santosh Bamaniya and Saurabh Arya, have been suspended. Udit was his parents' only son. His father, Rajkumar, is an engineer with MPEB, and his mother is a teacher. The loss of a promising son has devastated the entire family.
