The budget makes a major announcement for 10th-12th grade students; the government will provide ₹20,000 to purchase tablets and laptops

Presenting the budget in Sadam, Finance Minister Diya said that meritorious students will be given e-vouchers to buy laptops and tablets.

The Rajasthan government has announced a 20,000 rupee grant for meritorious students in grades 10 and 12 to purchase laptops and tablets in the 2026 budget. Finance Minister Diya Kumari stated that e-vouchers will be provided to ensure that meritorious students in grades 10 and 12 can access tablets and laptops with complete transparency.

Meritorious students will get help

While presenting the budget, Diya Kumari said that selected meritorious students studying in grades 10th and 12th will receive ₹20,000 in assistance to purchase tablets and laptops on their own. This will help them improve their education. This assistance will be provided to meritorious students.

Magic box will be distributed at Anganwadi centres.

Diya Kumari said that it is proposed to provide play materials and a magic box to 22,746 Anganwadi centers for the overall development and play-based education of children. She added that our magic box is also for children so that they can study well. 323 crore rupees will be spent to ensure that they can study while playing.

Took a dig at former CM Gehlot

During this, Diya Kumari took a dig at former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. She said, "We don't have the magic that can make a budget without saying anything. Your leaders used to say, 'You'll get tired of asking, but I'll never get tired of giving.'"
