Sleeper cells, 8 terrorists, and plans to terrorize Gujarat, Jaish-e-Mohammed exposed; operation being run from Pakistan

The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has uncovered a major conspiracy. The ATS has arrested eight terrorists linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). These terrorists were attempting to create terror in Gujarat.

Of these eight Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists caught, seven have been arrested from Patan and Navsari in Gujarat while one Bilal Durrani Ghaghra has been arrested from Dewas in Madhya Pradesh.

After preliminary interrogation, the Anti-Terrorism Squad revealed that they were trying to establish a Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist network in Gujarat to carry out a major conspiracy. They also received funding from Pakistan.

Names of the eight terrorists

  • Ahmed Abdullah Gajiwala (Abu Ubaida) (19 years old) – resident of Bhagal, Palanpur, Banaskantha
  • Ibrahim Mohammed Hussain Ghagha alias Abu Hamza (30 years) - resident of Bhagal, Palanpur, Banaskantha
  • Mudassir Abdullah Ghaziwala alias Abu Aya (22 years) – resident of Bhagal, Palanpur, Banaskantha
  • Zakaria Durani Mohammad Ammar Ghagha Ibn Ammar Zakaria Palanpuri (21 years) - resident of Jamia Abul Hasan Madrasa, Khadiasana, Sidhpur, Patan
  • Mufti Fauzan Ismail Daua Mufti Sahib (40 years) - Jamia Abul Hasan Madrasa, Khadiasan, Siddhpur, Patan
  • Mohammad Amin Shera Amin Palanpuri (21 years) - Jamia Abul Hasan Madrasa, Khadiasan, Sidhpur, Patan
  • Mohammad Abdul Rehman Sawadi Mohammad Palanpuri Abu Uneesa (22 years) - Jamia Rahmania Khambhiya, Ambheta, Chikhli, Navsari
  • Bilal Durani Mohammad Ammar Ghagha Abu Dujana Abu Sufyan Abu Jundal Umar bin Khattab (18 years) - Warsi Nagar, Dewas, Madhya Pradesh

Terror plot exposed in Gujarat

Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) Director General Sunil Joshi said that among the arrested terrorists, Gua Darul Islam Gujarat had formed an organization called Jaish-e-Mohammed. A handmade Jaish-e-Mohammed flag was also recovered from them.

In Vadodara, a terrorist met a man from Jammu and Kashmir who had come to Vadodara at the behest of a Pakistani handler. Jaish also gave him three lakh rupees.

All the terrorists are said to be associated with the Tablighi Jamaat and were preparing sleeper cells to establish a terrorist network of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Gujarat.

They were connected to their handlers in Pakistan through internet media and shared information with them about terrorist activities and sleeper cells. The ATS said three of these individuals also had connections to madrasas in Sidhpur and Chikhli.

FIR registered against all eight terrorists

The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has filed an FIR against the eight terrorists under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), along with sections of the BNS related to waging war against the Government of India and criminal conspiracy.

Many types of documents have been recovered from these terrorists, which show that they have connections with the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed operating from Pakistan.
