Skoda Cars Get Costlier: Slavia, Kushaq and Kylaq Prices Rise From October 1

If you are planning to buy a Skoda car in India, you may now have to increase your budget. Skoda Auto India has announced a price hike of up to 1.2 percent across its model range, with the revised prices coming into effect from October 1, 2026.

The increase will vary depending on the model and variant. According to the company, rising manufacturing and operating costs have led to the latest price revision.

Skoda continues to see strong sales

The price hike comes at a time when Skoda is witnessing strong demand in the Indian market.

The company sold 72,655 vehicles in 2025, its highest annual sales figure in India at the time. It also recorded its strongest-ever first-half sales during January to June 2026.

By August 2026, Skoda had sold more than 50,000 cars in India, representing growth of over 8 percent compared with the same period last year.

Models such as the Kylaq, Kushaq and Slavia have played an important role in the company's recent growth.

Skoda has also crossed 250,000 locally manufactured vehicles in India, including more than 75,000 units of the Kylaq. The company has expanded its retail and service network as well, with more than 345 touchpoints across 193 cities.

New Slavia facelift coming soon

Skoda is also preparing to introduce a facelifted version of the Slavia. The updated sedan is scheduled to launch on October 6, 2026, while bookings have already opened with a booking amount of ₹15,000.

The facelift brings several styling updates, including redesigned headlamps and taillamps, a revised bumper and new 16-inch alloy wheels.

Skoda will also introduce two new exterior colour options: Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige.

More features inside the cabin

The Slavia facelift will receive several updates inside the cabin as well.

It will feature a new 10.1-inch infotainment system with updated graphics, along with a larger 10.25-inch digital driver's display.

The feature list will also include rear-seat massage functionality, while the front seats will offer power adjustment and ventilation.

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will also be available, adding greater convenience for smartphone users.

Existing petrol engines to continue

The facelifted Slavia will continue with the existing petrol engine options.

The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine will produce 115 bhp, while the more powerful 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine will continue to deliver 150 bhp.

One of the notable changes will be the transmission options. The 1.0-litre engine will now be available with a new 8-speed automatic gearbox, while the 6-speed manual option will continue.

The 1.5-litre engine will be paired exclusively with a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission.

Should you buy now or wait?

With Skoda's prices increasing from October 1 and the updated Slavia arriving shortly afterwards, buyers may have an important decision to make.

Those looking for the current Slavia, Kushaq or Kylaq may want to check the latest dealer pricing and available offers before making a purchase. Buyers interested in the updated Slavia, meanwhile, may prefer to wait for the facelift and compare its new features and transmission options.

With strong sales, an expanding network and new product updates on the way, Skoda appears to be continuing its push to strengthen its position in India's competitive passenger-car market.
