Simple has expanded its electric scooter lineup in India with the launch of the Simple Wave, a model aimed at buyers looking for a practical electric scooter for everyday family use. The scooter starts at an ex-showroom price of ₹1.09 lakh, while deliveries are expected to begin from September 25, 2026.
The company says the Wave's design takes inspiration from dolphins, giving the scooter a distinctive and friendly appearance.
Four battery options
The Simple Wave will be available with four battery-pack choices:
- 2.2 kWh – up to 110 km range
- 2.7 kWh – up to 132 km range
- 3.7 kWh – up to 171 km range
- 5 kWh – up to 243 km IDC range
The 2.2 kWh and 2.7 kWh versions use LFP battery technology, while the 3.7 kWh and 5 kWh variants use NCA technology.
All variants get a Gen 3 Battery Management System. Simple also claims that fast charging can take the battery from 0 to 80% in around 70 minutes.
Up to 243 km range
The Wave uses a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) that produces around 8 bhp. According to Simple, the scooter can handle inclines of up to 20 degrees even with two riders.
The scooter can accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 3.3 seconds. Depending on the variant, the top speed is either 75 kmph or 90 kmph.
70-litre boot space
For family-oriented buyers, storage is one of the major highlights. The Simple Wave gets a claimed 70-litre boot space, providing room for everyday luggage.

Safety and convenience features
The scooter comes with several features designed for everyday usability. Its Drop Safe system cuts motor power if the scooter falls. It also gets hill-hold assist, reverse mode, crawl mode, and Limp Home mode.
Simple's HushDrive system is designed to reduce motor and chain noise and vibration. The company claims the system can reduce noise and vibration by around 15%.
7-inch TFT display
The Simple Wave gets a 7-inch TFT instrument display with connected features including turn-by-turn navigation, music controls, and call controls.
