Shocking news has emerged from Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. An 18-year-old student was pushed off a moving local train between Panvel and Khandeshwar railway stations by a 50-year-old man. The girl fell onto the tracks and suffered severe injuries to her head, waist, and all four limbs. Passengers caught the accused, beat him, and handed him over to the police. He has been identified as Sheikh Akhtar Nawaz.
According to reports, an 18-year-old student was traveling comfortably on a local train headed for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) around 8 a.m. when Sheikh Akhtar Nawaz boarded the ladies' coach. Passengers asked him to disembark, but he confronted them, leading to a heated argument. Enraged, he pushed her from behind, causing her to tumble off the train and fall onto the tracks.

The student informed her father by phone
The injured student immediately called her father. She was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared her condition stable, but critical treatment is ongoing. Meanwhile, the accused was trying to escape after getting off at Khandeshwar station, but alert passengers caught him and handed him over to the railway police. The Panvel Railway Police Station registered a case against him, and the court remanded him to three days' custody.
Senior Police Inspector Vijay Tayde said that Sheikh Akhtar lives alone and has no family. Preliminary investigations indicate that he is mentally unstable, leading to his wandering around. Police are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
