When ‘Mummy’ ran away before the wedding was decorated,
This strange case started in April 2025. Wedding bells were about to ring in a house in Thana Dadon area of ​​Aligarh. The daughter’s marriage was fixed with a young man named Rahul. But just 12 days before the wedding on 16th April, the mother ran away with her daughter’s would-be husband. At that time, the daughter had said while crying that her mother had not left even Rs 10 in the house. It was alleged that she had run away with jewellery worth Rs 5 lakh and Rs 3.5 lakh in cash.

Talking on mobile for hours and then settling in Bihar
According to the family members, it was the mother-in-law who got Rahul a smartphone. Gradually, they started talking on the phone for 15-20 hours. After they absconded, the police tracked them to Muzaffarpur in Bihar via Bareilly and Kasganj. Later, as the pressure increased, both surrendered at the police station. Mother-in-law’s argument: Accusing her husband of beating and torturing her, she said that she took this step under compulsion. The police then allowed her to go with Rahul (son-in-law) after the legal process.

10 months of ‘love’ and betrayal by son-in-law
For the past 10 months, the couple had been living as husband and wife in Bihar. Rahul thought his world was settled, but there was still another twist in the story. Rahul alleges that now his ‘mother-in-law’ has left him and eloped with her brother-in-law. According to Rahul, the woman also took Rs 2 lakh cash and valuable jewellery that he had with her.

 “Neither here nor here…”
A distraught Rahul now went to the Dadon police station in Aligarh, seeking justice. He recounted his ordeal, but the police refused, saying the incident occurred in Bihar and the case would be filed there. Rahul is now preparing to go to Bihar to file a complaint. The son-in-law for whom the mother-in-law destroyed her daughter’s home is now demanding justice on the streets.
