RGHS: Significant relief for Rajasthan government employees and pensioners. Following a controversy over pending payments under the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme, the state government has released approximately ₹250 crore.

RGHS: There's news of relief for government employees, pensioners, and their families who have been struggling for medicines for months. Following a controversy over pending payments under the Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS), the state government has released approximately ₹250 crore.

In the February 7 issue of Rajasthan Patrika, a news item titled "Rs 800 crore dues, pensioners returning empty-handed from medical stores" highlighted the issue of pending payments and highlighted the problems faced by patients.

Medicines have to be purchased at personal expense

Due to payment delays, many medical stores in the city and districts have limited or stopped dispensing medicines using RGHS cards. This has forced elderly pensioners and those suffering from serious illnesses to purchase medicines at their own expense. Many families reported even borrowing money to pay for life-saving medications.

The process of remaining payment has also started.

Harjilal Atal, the scheme's chief executive officer, said the process for the remaining payments has also been initiated, which will be released soon.
