Chinese smartphone brand Realme has launched its new mid-premium smartphone lineup in India — the Realme 16 Pro 5G and Realme 16 Pro+ 5G. The new series is aimed at power users and mobile photography enthusiasts, offering flagship-level features such as a massive 200MP camera, a 7,000mAh battery, and the latest Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0.
Price and availability in India
The Realme 16 Pro 5G is priced at ₹31,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, while its top variant costs ₹36,999.
The Realme 16 Pro+ 5G is priced between ₹39,999 and ₹44,999, depending on the configuration.
Both smartphones will go on sale from January 9 via Flipkart and the official Realme online store. Buyers can also avail instant discounts on select bank cards.
Display and design features
The Realme 16 Pro+ 5G comes with a large 6.8-inch AMOLED display supporting a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 6,500 nits of peak brightness. The Realme 16 Pro 5G features a slightly smaller 6.78-inch AMOLED display.
Both displays support 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and 1.07 billion colors, delivering a premium visual experience. For durability, both phones carry IP66, IP68, and IP69K ratings, offering strong resistance against water and dust.
Processor and performance
The Realme 16 Pro+ 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor built on 4nm technology, focusing on power efficiency and performance.
The Realme 16 Pro 5G uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max chipset.
Both devices run on Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0 and come with high RAM options and optimized GPU support, ensuring smooth multitasking and gaming performance.
Camera and battery highlights
The standout feature of the Realme 16 Pro series is its 200-megapixel primary rear camera. The Pro+ variant includes a 50MP ultra-wide lens, while the Pro model gets an 8MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies and video calls, both phones feature a 50MP front camera.
Powering the devices is a large 7,000mAh battery, designed for long hours of usage without frequent charging. The Realme 16 Pro+ 5G also supports 4K video recording, making it an attractive option for content creators.
