After tying the knot on February 26 in a private ceremony held with two traditional rituals, the newlyweds surprised everyone by announcing their next film together, titled Raanabali.

Soon after the wedding, the makers unveiled the couple’s first official look from the film. Dressed in elegant wedding attire, Rashmika and Vijay are seen as Jayamma and Ranabali, instantly winning hearts. Adding to the excitement, the first song from the film has also been released.

First Song ‘Endhayya Saami’ Wins Hearts

The first song from Raanabali, titled “Endhayya Saami”, offers a glimpse of the couple’s powerful on-screen chemistry. The 1-minute-20-second video captures Rashmika and Vijay in romantic, newlywed moments, perfectly matching the film’s emotional tone.

The song has been released in five languages. Its Hindi version, titled “O Mere Sajan”, is sung by Shweta Mohan and Javed Ali, with lyrics penned by Kshitij Patwardhan. The track was launched as a special wedding surprise for fans.

Period Drama Set for September Release

Raanabali is a period drama that narrates the story of Ranabali and Jayamma and is scheduled to release in theatres on September 11. The film is being produced by Maitri Movie Makers, known for backing large-scale and content-driven cinema.

Interestingly, this marks Rashmika and Vijay’s reunion after seven years. The duo was last seen together in Dear Comrade, which had earned them immense appreciation for their intense performances and chemistry.
