Rajesh Sharma Hospitalized After Insect Bite During Prabhas Film Shoot, Infection Spreads in Leg

Popular actor Rajesh Sharma, known for his performances in films like "MS Dhoni: The Untold Story," has been admitted to a hospital in Kolkata after suffering an insect bite while shooting for an upcoming film with Prabhas.
The incident took place at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad after the day's shoot had ended. Rajesh Sharma was reportedly talking with a technician in an area surrounded by trees and bushes when an insect bit him. Initially, he did not feel any serious symptoms and continued with his work.
However, later, the actor started experiencing pain and discomfort in his right leg. Despite the issue, he travelled back to Kolkata by flight. During the journey, his condition worsened as he developed a high fever and felt uneasy. The following day, he was admitted to a hospital for treatment.
Infection Spread From Toes to Knee
Film director Sudeepa Chatterjee shared an update about Rajesh Sharma's health through a social media post. According to the statement, the actor continued to suffer from high fever, breathing difficulties, and a rapidly spreading infection in his right leg. The infection reportedly moved from his toes up to his knee.
Doctors have kept the actor under observation and are conducting several medical tests. Dr. Abhijit Bhattacharya said that it is too early to make any final statement about his condition. Doctors are also monitoring the possibility of complications, including blood clot-related risks.
The hospital is expected to provide a detailed health update after completing the required tests.
Fans and members of the film industry have expressed concern and are praying for Rajesh Sharma's speedy recovery. The actor, who has been active in the film industry for nearly three decades, started his acting journey in 1996 with Gulzar's film "Maachis" and has since appeared in numerous successful films.
