The Railway Ministry has approved recruitment for 4,098 technical staff posts across all zones to address manpower shortages in the department; this recruitment is also being done to improve safety.

This recruitment drive will fill 35 technical positions. These positions directly focus on the daily safety checks and maintenance of railway tracks, signals, and other infrastructure.

After the vacancy for staff was seen in the Human Resource Management System (HRMS) review, the Railway Ministry has sent a circular regarding approval to the General Managers of the entire zone.

The nodal RRBs will release the Centralized Employment Notification (CEN) from July 21.

According to the report, the zonal railways have directed to complete all the formalities and preparations, including finalising the vacancy list and strictly following the reservation rules for SC, ST, OBC and EWS categories for recruitment.

This recruitment follows the previous recruitment drive for 6,565 technicians, which included 323 Signal Technician Grade I and 6,242 Technician Grade III posts.
