The female police officer managed to escape and save her life. A video of the incident went viral three days later. The victim, a constable at the Tamnar police station, is a constable. However, after the video went viral, police registered a case against unknown suspects under Sections 67A of the Indian Penal Code (ILC), and Sections 109 (1), 115 (2), 132 (221), 296, 309, and 351 of the IPC.

Demand for action against the culprits in the case

The surprising aspect of this case is that the police is shying away from even talking about it. The district SP refused to say anything in front of the media. After the matter came to light, the Congress has strongly condemned this incident. The District Congress Committee President says that the law and order situation in the state is bad. If the women police personnel themselves are not safe, then what will happen to the common citizens? No amount of condemnation of this incident will be enough. The Congress has demanded action against the culprits in this case and has also sought an answer from the Home Minister. It is being said that the video is of 27th December.

The BJP has also responded to the incident. The BJP says that it is the right of ordinary citizens to protest within the bounds of the Constitution. However, the manner in which the female police officer was assaulted is shameful and condemnable. Strict action should be taken against the female police officer.
