Every year, Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi is celebrated on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, the third month of the Islamic calendar, which is also called 12 Wafat. Prophet Muhammad was born and died on this day. This time Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi will be celebrated on 5 September.
Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi has a very special significance in Islam, because on this day the last prophet of Islam, Muhammad Sahib, was born and died. This day is also known as 12 Wafat or Maulid. This time Eid-e-Milad will be celebrated on 5 September 2025. On this occasion, let us tell you about the wives and children of Prophet Muhammad Sahib.

Prophet Mohammad was the last prophet of Islam, who was born in Mecca around 570 AD. He died in Medina in 632 AD. When he was just 6 years old, his parents died and he was raised by his uncle Abu Talib.

Prophet Muhammad had a total of 11 wives. Hazrat Khadija was his first wife and after her death, Muhammad married the rest of the wives. Muhammad was 25 years old when he married 40-year-old widow Khadija. Except Hazrat Ayesha, all the wives of Muhammad were widows.

The names of the 11 wives of Prophet Muhammad are:- Khadija bint Khuwaylid, Sauda bint Zama, Aisha bint Abu Bakr, Hafsa bint Umar, Zainab bint Khuzaimah, Hind bint Abu Umayya, Zainab bint Jahsh, Juwairiya bint al-Harith, Ramla bint Abu Sufyan, Safiya bint Huyay and Maymuna bint al-Harith.

Hazrat Muhammad had a total of 7 children, of which 3 were sons Qasim, Abdullah and Ibrahim. Whereas, 4 were daughters Zainab, Rukaiya, Umm Kulthum and Fatima. All the four daughters of Prophet Muhammad were born from his first wife Hazrat Khadija.
