Italian superbike manufacturer Ducati has launched the Diavel V4 Black Roadster in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹29.98 lakh. Positioned as a premium performance motorcycle, the new edition combines striking styling with the same high-performance V4 engine that powers the standard Diavel V4.
With a price tag close to ₹30 lakh, the motorcycle costs about as much as two entry-level Hyundai Cretas and delivers performance that rivals the power output of some SUVs.
Powerful 1,158cc V4 Engine
The Ducati Diavel V4 Black Roadster is powered by a 1,158cc V4 engine that produces:
- 168 bhp of power
- 126 Nm of peak torque
For comparison, the petrol-powered Mahindra Scorpio Classic develops around 130 bhp, highlighting the superbike's impressive performance credentials.
Performance Figures
Built for speed, the Diavel V4 Black Roadster delivers thrilling acceleration and top-end performance.
Key performance highlights include:
- 0–100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds
- Top speed of around 274 km/h
These figures place it among the fastest production motorcycles available in India.
Price and Availability
The new Diavel V4 Black Roadster is priced at ₹29.98 lakh (ex-showroom), making it approximately ₹32,000 more expensive than the standard Diavel V4, which retails at ₹29.66 lakh (ex-showroom).
Bookings for the motorcycle are now open, and customer deliveries are expected to begin soon.
What's New?
The biggest update comes in the motorcycle's appearance.
The Black Roadster edition features:
- An exclusive Black Roadster paint scheme
- Styling developed by Ducati Centro Stile
- A predominantly black finish with contrasting Racing Yellow accents for a sportier look
While the styling has been refreshed, the engine, chassis, and overall performance remain unchanged from the standard Diavel V4.
Looking Ahead
Ducati has also showcased its Desmo 450 SM prototype during World Ducati Week 2026. Expected to become the company's first production supermoto motorcycle, the model is anticipated to make its global debut in 2027.
