A security scare occurred on Tuesday during the Congress’ Voter Rights Yatra in Nawada, Bihar, when a policeman on duty was accidentally hit by the vehicle carrying Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav.

Eyewitnesses said the policeman was bumped as the car moved forward, but alert security personnel immediately signaled the driver to reverse, preventing a serious accident. Rahul Gandhi later enquired about the policeman’s condition.

The incident was caught on video and widely circulated on social media.

Later, addressing a public gathering at Bhagat Singh Chowk, Rahul Gandhi accused the Election Commission of India of working hand-in-hand with the BJP to manipulate elections. He vowed that the Mahagathbandhan would not allow “even a single vote to be stolen” in Bihar.
