PMY: Beneficiaries of the PM Kisan Yojana must complete this task today, otherwise 23rd installment will not be credited to their account

The Government of India is supporting rural people through several welfare schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) program. Millions of farmers across the country are already benefiting from this initiative. If you are a registered beneficiary under the PM-KISAN scheme, there's an important update you should know about the upcoming 23rd installment.

Under the PM-KISAN scheme, eligible farmers receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually. This amount is transferred directly to their bank accounts in three equal installments of ₹2,000. So far, beneficiaries have received 22 installments, totaling ₹44,000.

The government is expected to release the 23rd installment soon. However, farmers who haven't completed any necessary banking procedures may face delays or may not receive their next payment at all.

To receive the upcoming installments without any hassle, beneficiaries must ensure that the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) service is activated in their bank account. PM-KISAN payments are sent only through the DBT system. If DBT is not enabled, the amount may not be transferred correctly.

Farmers who haven't activated DBT should visit their bank branch as soon as possible. At the bank, they will need to request the official to activate DBT for their account. The bank will provide an Aadhaar seeding or NPCI mapping form, which must be carefully filled out with the correct information.

After filling out the form, farmers should submit it, along with a photocopy of their Aadhaar card, to the bank branch where they have an account. Once the documents are verified, bank officials will activate the DBT option, ensuring smooth crediting of future PM-KISAN installments.
