Millions of farmers across the country are benefiting from the central government's Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) scheme. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually. Meanwhile, important information has emerged regarding the 23rd installment of the PM Kisan scheme. If you too are waiting for the next installment of the PM Kisan scheme, this information is crucial for you. Farmers will need to complete certain necessary procedures to receive the 23rd installment. Otherwise, beneficiaries may be deprived of the installment.
When will the 23rd installment of PM Kisan come?
According to the rules of the PM Kisan Scheme, the central government provides a total of ₹6,000 in three installments annually. ₹2,000 is deposited into farmers' accounts every four months.
These installments are distributed for the periods April to July, August to November, and December to March. Previously, the 22nd installment was deposited into farmers' accounts in March. Therefore, the 23rd installment for the April to July period is now expected to be deposited in June or July. However, the central government has not yet announced an official date.
If these tasks aren't completed, your installment could be delayed.
The central government has issued an important notice regarding the PM Kisan Yojana. Farmers who haven't completed the required document verification will not receive their next installment.
Your name could be removed from the list! Complete these 3 important tasks immediately.
Farmers whose documents or verification are incomplete will have their ₹2,000 installment withheld from their accounts. To receive your installment without any hassle, complete these tasks immediately:
E-KYC is mandatory: According to the PM Kisan portal, e-KYC is mandatory for all registered farmers. You can complete biometric-based e-KYC by visiting your nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or by entering the OTP on the PM Kisan portal from the comfort of your home.
Linking Aadhaar to a Bank Account: The bank account linked to your Aadhaar card must be active. Remember that the money is sent through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), so Aadhaar seeding is required.
Important news for UPSC candidates! This year, the exam pattern has undergone a major change;
Land verification: The agricultural land in your name must be fully verified in the government database. Instalments may be delayed if the land verification is pending.
The government is conducting live verification of cases that do not meet the eligibility criteria. For example, farmers who acquired land after February 1, 2019. If more than one member of the same family, such as a husband and wife, is benefiting from the scheme, their installments may be temporarily withheld until verification is complete.
