Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday evening attended an event in Guwahati where he addressed farmers and released the 22nd installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme.

Under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, the Government of India transferred over ₹18,640 crore directly to the bank accounts of over 93.2 million eligible farmers. However, some farmers may still be waiting to see if the 22nd installment has been credited to their accounts. If the amount hasn't been credited yet, farmers can take several steps to find out why.

Possible reasons for the delay in installments

There are several common reasons that can prevent farmers from receiving payments:

Farmers found ineligible during verification may have their applications cancelled, making them ineligible for the installment.

If farmers have not completed the necessary processes like e-KYC or land verification, the payment may be stopped.

If Aadhaar is not linked to the bank account or DBT option is not activated, the installment may also get delayed.

How to check your payment status

Farmers can easily check their installment status online by following these steps:

Visit the official PM-Kisan website: pmkisan.gov.in

Click on “Know Your Status” option.

Enter your registration number.

Enter the captcha code displayed on the screen.

Click on “Get Details”.

After completing these steps, the system will show your status and tell whether you are eligible to receive the installment or not.
