The central government operates a scheme called the PM Kisan Yojana. Under this scheme, the central government provides financial assistance of ₹6,000 annually to millions of farmers across the country. As the 24th installment of the scheme approaches, many farmers are wondering whether both husband and wife in the same family can benefit from this scheme. So, let's find out what the rules say.
What do the rules of the scheme say?
It should be noted that the government has established very clear and strict rules on this subject, not knowing which could result in your application being rejected. According to the official rules of the PM Kisan Yojana, only one person from a farmer family can benefit from the PM Kisan Yojana. According to the government's definition, a family means the husband, wife, and their minor children. Therefore, even if both husband and wife own cultivable land, only one of them will be considered eligible for the scheme.
If both apply, trouble will arise
If a husband and wife in a household apply separately, either through insidious means or lack of information, their forms will be immediately rejected. The government's digital database easily detects such errors. Furthermore, attempting to benefit from the scheme by providing false information is considered a violation of the rules.
