PM Kisan Yojana: Big news for farmers! Need the 23rd installment of PM Kisan? Then do this immediately

The central government will soon deposit the 23rd installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana into farmers' accounts. Under this scheme, farmers are given Rs 6,000 every year. However, this time the government has made some changes to the rules. It has been made mandatory for beneficiaries to complete their e-KYC. Additionally, every farmer must now have a unique Farmer ID. If your KYC process is incomplete or you do not have a Farmer ID, the next installment will not be credited to your account. To complete this process, farmers can visit the official portal or visit their nearest CSC center.

Why are e-KYC and Farmer ID necessary?

The government has made e-KYC mandatory to bring transparency and ensure that only eligible farmers receive benefits. Often, incorrect information can lead to ineligible individuals taking advantage of the scheme. This verification is being done to prevent this. With the new Farmer ID, all your farming-related information will be available to the government in one place. This will make it easier to avail of other government schemes in the future.

In which states is 'Farmer ID' required?

The central government has implemented this new rule in several key states across the country. These include Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, and Assam. Farmers in these states must complete their registration to receive PM Kisan Yojana installments without interruption.

How to register for Farmer ID?

Farmers can apply for an ID by visiting their state's official agriculture portal or through the Agristack platform. Aadhaar card, mobile number linked to Aadhaar card, and agricultural land records or land records are required. This registration process also requires completing e-KYC. You can obtain your eKYC and Farmer ID online or by visiting your nearest Maha e-Seva center.

When will the money be deposited and what needs to be done?

The date for the 23rd installment has not yet been officially announced, but it is expected that farmers who have completed e-KYC will receive the money in their accounts soon. Farmers should check their "Beneficiary Status" on the "PM Kisan" website to verify their name on the beneficiary list. Also, ensure that your bank account is linked to your Aadhaar card, as the money is deposited directly into your bank account (DBT).
