Due to instability in West Asia, petrol and diesel prices in India are continuously rising. This is the third price increase in the country this month. Petrol prices have been increased by 87 paise per liter and diesel by 91 paise per liter.

Due to this, the price of petrol in Delhi has risen to ₹99.51 per litre and diesel to ₹92.49 per litre. These prices came into effect from Saturday.

There was an increase last Tuesday

Previously, on Friday, May 15th, petrol prices were increased by ₹3.14 per liter and diesel by ₹3.11 per liter. The second increase was made on Tuesday, when petrol and diesel prices were increased by 87 paise and 91 paise, respectively.

Food and drinks will be expensive

This increase will make everything from food items to freight more expensive. It's also a matter of concern that this won't be the last increase by Indian Oil (IOC, HPCL, and BPCL), as the difference between the cost of production and the cost of sales for petrol and diesel remains significant.
