Four days after the incident, when the post-mortem report was released, the case took a serious turn. On Saturday local residents made several revelations to the media.

The post-mortem report revealed shocking facts. A police press release clearly stated that the student had been sexually assaulted. This was undeniable. This revelation sent shockwaves throughout Patna.

Patna SSP Kartikeya Sharma held a press conference on Friday regarding the matter. He stated that the post-mortem report has been sent to AIIMS for a high-level investigation. If negligence on the part of the doctors is found at any level, strict action will be taken against them. The SSP also stated that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed due to the seriousness of the case.

People had already complained about the hostel

Local residents also say that there were numerous complaints about the hostel. Despite this, no action was taken against the hostel management, nor was strict monitoring maintained. Even after the incident, the police did not share any clear information in a timely manner.

According to the post-mortem report, the student's body bore clear signs of brutality. Numerous bruises were found on her body, wounds below her shoulder, and bluish discoloration on her back. All these factors have made the case even more serious. The report has now been sent to AIIMS, where further revelations are expected.

Police say that more than 100 CCTV footages have been examined so far. The investigation has been expanded from Patna to Jehanabad. The hostel owner has also been arrested. Several people are being questioned. The police claim that the entire case will be solved soon.
