Patna Horror: Minor Girl Burned Alive by Obsessive Stalker Dies After 5 Days of Suffering

In a horrifying incident from Patna, Bihar, a minor girl has succumbed to her injuries after being set on fire by a young man obsessed with her. The tragedy occurred in Sampatchak Bairiya under the Gopalpur police station area. The accused, Aditya Kumar, had reportedly been harassing and stalking the teenager for a long time. On January 17th, when she was walking along the street, he doused her with petrol and set her ablaze.

Eyewitnesses described the chilling scene as the girl, engulfed in flames, ran approximately 100 meters screaming for help. Local shopkeepers and passersby rushed to her aid and managed to extinguish the fire. She was immediately taken to Nalanda Medical College Hospital (NMCH), where doctors fought to save her, but severe burns covering most of her body proved fatal. She passed away on the night of January 22nd, after five days of intensive care.

Following the incident, the girl’s mother, Seema Devi, filed a named FIR against Aditya Kumar on January 18th. The police collected evidence, including the victim’s dying declaration, and increased pressure on the accused through raids. On January 23rd, Aditya Kumar surrendered in Patna Civil Court.

The police have sent the body for post-mortem, and considering the gravity of the crime, authorities are preparing for a fast-track trial to ensure the perpetrator receives the harshest possible punishment.
