Indian Railways is implementing new rules from October 1. Now IRCTC users verified with Aadhaar will get priority in ticket booking. Only they will be able to book tickets till 15 minutes after the reservation opens. This change will be important to stop ticket black marketing.
New rules are being issued by Indian Railways from October 1. In such a situation, it can be a big shock for those who have not yet registered with Aadhaar card on IRCTC website or app. If you are an Aadhaar authenticated user, then you can get a lot of benefits. Yes, now only Aadhaar authenticated users will be able to book their tickets on IRCTC till 15 minutes after the reservation opens. Other users will be able to book tickets after this time limit.
Railways has implemented this system to prevent black marketing of tickets. Due to which authentic users will be able to book tickets first as per their convenience. At the same time, no change has been made in the timing of ticket booking from the computerized reservation counter of the railway station. Users can go to the station and book tickets for their destination as before. At the same time, authorized ticket booking agents of the railway will not be able to book tickets till 10 minutes after the reservation opens, as before.
Changes will happen from October 1
The railways have instructed the officials to run a special campaign to make this change reach the public. The railways have also issued instructions to CRIS and IRCTC to make important changes in the system. The general public will be able to see these changes from October 1 itself. This means that now as soon as the ticket is opened, the common passenger will get the first chance and not the agent. Due to which the common people will not face any problem in ticket booking. This will also reduce the sudden increase in load on the website at the scheduled time.
Circular issued by Railway Ministry
The Railway Ministry had already informed about this important change. Since then, updates were being issued in this matter. Finally, the railways have issued circulars to all the officials in which they have been instructed to make changes and convey the information to the people.
