PAN Card Rules: Important news! Major changes in PAN card rules; effective April 1st

Certain documents are essential for every Indian. These include an Aadhaar card and a PAN card. Without these two documents, many tasks are hampered. A PAN card is required for everything from opening a bank account to obtaining a loan. Meanwhile, a significant change has been made to the process of obtaining a PAN card.

The rules for obtaining a PAN card will change starting April 1. When applying for a PAN card, you will need to attach not only your Aadhaar card but also the applicant's identity and birth documents.

Until now, PAN cards could only be obtained by presenting Aadhaar card proof. Now, not only the PAN card, but other documents such as birth certificate, voter ID card, passport, driving license, and 10th grade certificate will also be required. Therefore, you must have these documents with you when applying for a PAN card.

According to the new rules, all information on the PAN card must match the Aadhaar card. Therefore, both documents must contain accurate information, such as name and date of birth. Therefore, be sure to have these documents with you when you go to get your PAN card made.

These rules will also change from April 1.

Along with the PAN card, many rules will change from April 1st. The new Income Tax Act will come into effect, making filing your Income Tax Return (ITR) much easier. The Income Tax Act is written in very simple language, so it's beneficial for taxpayers to understand the law. This law will come into effect on April 1st.
