Popular Pakistani rapper Talha Anjum surprised everyone by hoisting the Indian tricolour during a live concert in Nepal. At a time when tensions and sanctions are prevailing between the two countries instead of dialogue, the raising of the Indian flag by a Pakistani artist moved Indian fans, but sparked anger and debate in Pakistan.

A music festival was being held in Kathmandu, Nepal. Talha Anjum was performing, singing a controversial song called "Distrak" associated with Indian rappers, when a fan in the crowd threw the Indian flag towards him. Talha caught the flag, waved it respectfully in the air, and then draped it over his shoulders. The crowd on stage, seeing this scene, started hooting, and many were also recording it on their mobile phones. As soon as this video hit the internet, it went viral on Twitter (now X).
