The main reason behind this is the emergence of a video and photo of him waving the Indian flag while wearing an Indian jersey at a private tournament in Bahrain on December 16th.

Pakistan Kabaddi Federation calls emergency meeting

After videos and photos of Ubaidullah Rajput went viral, Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF) Secretary Rana Sarwar has called an emergency meeting on December 27th to discuss the matter. In addition to Ubaidullah Rajput, several other Pakistani Kabaddi team players also participated in the GCC tournament in Bahrain, and they are now facing the threat of disciplinary action. According to a report by news agency PTI, PKF Secretary Rana Sarwar said in a statement, "I can confirm that this was a private tournament, in which the organizers formed private teams with names like India, Pakistan, Canada, Iran, etc., but all teams had players from their respective countries. The Indian players represented the Indian private team, and Ubaidullah played for them, which we cannot accept at all."

Ubaidullah apologized in this matter

After videos and photos of Ubaidullah Rajput surfaced at the private tournament in Bahrain, he apologized and clarified that he was invited to participate in the tournament and was included in a private team. "I learned later that the team I was included in was named the Indian team. I had asked the organizers not to use the names of India and Pakistan," he said.
