Paid subscription will soon be available on WhatsApp; users will get these special features by paying money

WhatsApp's paid plan may be rolling out soon. It has been spotted in an Android beta version. Users could get access to features like premium stickers and themes.

Recently, news emerged that Meta was introducing paid plans for its core products, such as Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. Under this plan, users would be able to pay for additional features, similar to YouTube Premium. Now, a report has revealed the benefits users will receive upon purchasing a paid WhatsApp subscription. It's worth noting that Meta has been investing heavily in AI for some time, and now, to recoup those costs, new paid plans are being introduced.

WhatsApp's paid plan may be coming soon

An upcoming paid subscription service has been spotted on the beta version of WhatsApp for Android phones. This suggests that Meta is working on it and it could be rolled out soon. According to reports, users will first have to join a waitlist. After this, they will start receiving additional functionality as soon as the paid plans are rolled out.

What features will be there in the paid plan?

With its premium plan, WhatsApp may offer premium stickers, app themes, and the ability to pin more than three chats. For a more personalized messaging experience, users will be able to set dedicated chat ringtones. Additionally, there may be the option to customize the WhatsApp app icon. Users will be able to choose their preferred icon from a variety of options provided by WhatsApp. In addition, users may also receive additional AI features.

Will everyone have to pay?

Not everyone needs to pay to use WhatsApp. Meta has clarified that the core experience of the app will remain free. This means you can still send messages and make calls for free, but you'll have to pay to access premium features. It's not yet known what the price of WhatsApp's plans might be.
