If you show a little patience and understanding, you can save your money through smart methods while booking tickets online. These include hacks like payment offers and using card payments. Ways to save on convention fees and benefits on monthly subscription are the main ones.

Check credit-debit card offers

Nowadays, people prioritize UPI payments. It's easy and quick. However, you should exercise some common sense and check the offers available on your credit and debit cards. All major banks, such as HDFC, ICICI, and Axis Bank, offer "buy one, get one" tickets or cashback on their various cards. Some banks offer such offers on weekdays, i.e., Monday through Friday. These can be checked on the bank's app. A "scratch card" is also available for UPI payments, but its benefits are very minimal.

Many cinema halls do not charge convention fee. In the case of Dhurandhar, a cinema hall in Ghaziabad, UP is charging only GST tax.
Gift cards are also a way to save convention fee. If you buy a gift card of a major movie booking site from Amazon or other websites, then you can save on the Convenience Fee by adding it at the time of booking.

Cheaper tickets will be available on weekdays

Most people have Saturday and Sunday off. Tickets are most expensive on weekends. If you go to the movies on a weekday, you'll find cheaper tickets online. Many theaters offer discounted morning shows, so you can take advantage of that. While tickets aren't exactly cheap for Dhurandhar, a thorough search of ticket booking apps may help you find a show with a lower price.

What is the benefit of taking a subscription?

Many movie booking apps offer subscriptions these days. The PVR app offers a subscription called "PVR INOX Passport." It costs ₹349 per month, allowing you to watch four movies within 30 days. However, there's a blackout period for new movies. This means that any newly released movie can be watched after 14 days. If you really want to save money, you can take out this subscription and watch movies after a specific timeframe, i.e., 14 days.
