The first installment of the 'Mawan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana' will be released on July 1. Under this scheme, eligible Punjabi women in the general category receive a monthly assistance of ₹1,000 and women from Scheduled Castes receive ₹1,500.
A major relief news has come for the women of Punjab. The first installment equivalent to three months of the 'Mawan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana' will be released on July 1st. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that under the 'Mawan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana', the first installment of Rs 4,500 for Scheduled Caste women and Rs 3,000 for General Category women, i.e. equivalent to three months' financial assistance, will be deposited in their bank accounts on July 1st. Aam Aadmi Party convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also shared this information from his official X handle.
'Many congratulations to all the mothers, sisters and daughters of Punjab'
AAP Samyojan posted from his official X handle, writing, "Many congratulations to all the mothers, sisters, and daughters of Punjab. On July 1st, three months' worth of money will be credited to their accounts simultaneously. Every general category woman will receive Rs. 3,000, and every SC category woman will receive Rs. 4,500. If there is more than one woman in a family, each woman will receive this honorarium. This is the largest women's empowerment program in the entire world."
What is Mawan Dhiyaan Satkar Scheme?
The Mawan Dhiyaan Satkar Scheme was launched by the Punjab government. The primary objective of this scheme is to empower women in the state by providing them with financial assistance. Under this scheme, eligible general category women will receive a monthly assistance of ₹1,000 and Scheduled Caste women will receive ₹1,500. The funds will be transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced this scheme during the Punjab Budget 2026–27.
Eligibility for the scheme
The woman must be a permanent resident of Punjab.
She must be at least 18 years old.
Her Aadhaar card must be linked to her bank account.
