Noida Party Turns Tragic: Young Man Found Dead on Balcony of High-Rise Society, Police Probe Underway

Panic spread in Surajpur late Thursday night after the body of a young man was found under suspicious circumstances on the balcony of a high-rise residential building.

The deceased has been identified as Manish (20), a resident of Nizampur village, under the Secunderabad area. Preliminary investigation suggests that Manish had come to Noida to attend a party with friends.

What happened

According to police officials, Manish had arrived at Paramount Society, where his friends had rented a flat in Oak Tower. The group reportedly held a party on Wednesday night and later went to sleep in their respective rooms.

On Thursday morning, residents of the society noticed a young man lying motionless on the balcony. Initially confused, they soon realised he was dead and immediately alerted the police by dialing 112.

Police action and investigation

Police from Surajpur Police Station reached the spot, took custody of the body, and sent it to the district hospital for post-mortem examination.

Station in-charge Vinod Kumar said that prima facie the case appears to involve a fall from the balcony. However, it is still unclear whether the death was accidental, suicidal, or the result of a scuffle.

Police are also investigating whether alcohol or any other intoxicating substances were consumed during the party and whether the deceased was under mental stress.

Forensic checks, no suicide note found

The balcony, flat, and surrounding areas were thoroughly examined. No suicide note was recovered from the spot. Friends present in the flat were questioned and reportedly told police that they did not hear any noise or argument during the night.

As a precautionary measure, the flat has been sealed and a forensic investigation has been initiated to ensure no evidence is tampered with.

Awaiting post-mortem report

Police officials stated that the exact cause of death will be confirmed only after the post-mortem report is received. At present, the investigation is being conducted from all angles—accident, suicide, and homicide—and no possibility has been ruled out.

The deceased’s family has been informed, and further action will be taken based on medical and forensic findings.
