Maruti Suzuki Brezza is all set to receive a major facelift in 2026, and this update could make it an even stronger rival to the Tata Nexon. With testing already underway and multiple upgrades expected, the new Brezza might significantly raise the competition in the subcompact SUV segment.
Expected launch timeline
While there is no official confirmation yet, the 2026 Brezza facelift is likely to launch around the festive season, particularly near Diwali 2026. This timing aligns with peak car-buying demand in India.
1. New turbo petrol engine
One of the biggest expected changes is under the hood. The new Brezza may get a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing around 100 bhp and 147 Nm torque.
- Likely paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox
- Existing 1.5-litre petrol engine expected to continue
- CNG option will also remain
This addition could make the Brezza more performance-oriented and competitive against rivals.
2. Improved CNG practicality
The CNG variant is expected to become more practical with an underbody-mounted tank.
- Better boot space compared to current model
- More usable luggage capacity for long trips
This is a major upgrade for buyers who prefer fuel efficiency without compromising practicality.
3. More premium and feature-rich cabin
The interior is expected to get a noticeable upgrade:
- Larger touchscreen infotainment system (around 10.1 inches)
- Updated upholstery and trims
- More connected car features
These changes will help the Brezza match the feature-loaded cabins offered by rivals like the Nexon.
4. Fresh design updates
The overall design will remain familiar, but subtle changes will refresh its look:
- Revised front fascia
- New fog lamp housing
- Updated alloy wheels
- Tweaked rear bumper
- Connected LED tail lamps
These updates aim to give the Brezza a more modern and premium road presence without changing its identity.
5. Expected price increase
With added features and a possible turbo engine, prices are expected to rise slightly.
- Current price: ₹8.25 lakh to ₹13.01 lakh (ex-showroom)
- Facelifted version: likely to be priced higher
However, the upgrades may justify the increase for many buyer
