As temperatures soar during the summer, chilled beverages become the perfect way to stay refreshed and energized. Drinks like mojitos, often enjoyed at cafés and hotels, are not only flavorful but also visually appealing. The good news is that you can easily recreate these refreshing drinks at home using simple ingredients and minimal effort.
Here are two easy mojito recipes that deliver a hotel-like taste right in your kitchen.
Virgin Mojito Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 lemons
- 15–20 fresh mint leaves
- 2 teaspoons powdered sugar
- A pinch of peppermint powder (optional)
- 2 pinches black salt
- Crushed ice
- Soda water
Method:
Start by cutting one lemon into small pieces and placing them in a glass. Extract juice from another lemon and keep it aside. Add fresh mint leaves to the glass and gently crush them along with the lemon pieces to release their flavor.
Next, add powdered sugar and a small amount of peppermint powder for extra freshness. Sprinkle black salt and pour in the lemon juice. Fill the glass with crushed ice and top it with soda water. Stir well and garnish with thin lemon slices and mint leaves. Your chilled virgin mojito is ready to serve.
Watermelon Mojito Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 lemon (cut into pieces)
- 8–10 mint leaves
- 1–1.5 teaspoons powdered sugar
- 2 pinches black salt
- ½ teaspoon peppermint powder (optional)
- Fresh seedless watermelon (chopped)
- Crushed ice
- Soda water
Method:
In a glass, add lemon pieces, mint leaves, sugar, black salt, and peppermint powder. Add chopped watermelon and crush everything well to release the juices and blend the flavors.
Fill the glass with crushed ice and pour soda water on top. Mix gently and garnish with watermelon pieces and lemon slices for a vibrant, hotel-style presentation.
