Meerut Shock: Husband Finds Groom for His Own Wife, Says “I’m Handing Her Over to Mujib” — The Reason Will Leave You Stunned

A bizarre and emotional incident from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, has left everyone astonished. A man from Panchali Buzurg village under Sarurpur police station limits has filed a complaint not against his wife — but against his own father, sister, and brother-in-law, accusing them of trying to seize his property and destroy his family.

What’s even more shocking is that the man has decided to get his wife married to another man, claiming it’s the only way to protect her and his children.

Filed Case Against His Own Family

According to the complaint, the man alleged that his father, sister, and brother-in-law have been harassing him for a long time and are plotting to grab his house and land, which were built by his in-laws and are registered in his wife’s name.

He said the family’s greed has gone so far that they even tried to kill him on October 7.

“They might harm my wife and children as well. So I convinced a young man to marry my wife in court. After marriage, he can take her and my children with him,” he stated in his complaint.
“Since the house is in my wife’s name, I want to stay there with them — for as long as they wish.”

“They Are Trying to Prove Me Mentally Ill”

The man further alleged that his relatives are conspiring to label him as mentally unstable so they can easily take over the property.

“My father, sister, and brother-in-law constantly harass me and threaten to frame me in false cases. They even arranged for me to be attacked twice,” he told the police.
“They want me to hand over half the property to them, even though it legally belongs to my wife. To safeguard my wife and children, I’ve decided to get her married to Mujib. If anything happens to us, they will be responsible.”

“I’ve Requested Mujib to Marry My Wife”

In a shocking turn of events, the man said he personally approached a local youth named Mujib and asked him to marry his wife.

“I told Mujib to first have a Nikah (religious wedding) and then a court marriage. He agreed. I only want my wife and children to live safely and peacefully,” the husband said.

He also alleged that his wife’s family often falsely accuses him and tried to create distance between him and his wife, worsening the situation.

Police Investigation Underway

The Sarurpur police have confirmed receiving the complaint and are investigating the allegations. Officers said they are verifying all claims made by the man, including the alleged murder attempt, harassment, and his decision to get his wife remarried.

Locals in the area are stunned by the man’s unusual move, with many describing it as an act of desperation, emotional turmoil, and sacrifice.

A Love or a Sacrifice?

While the truth behind the incident is still being investigated, the Meerut man’s strange decision to find a groom for his own wife and hand her over willingly has sparked debates on social media.

Some users called it the “most unusual love story of the year”, while others said it was a heartbreaking reflection of family conflict and social pressure.
