Delhi Police busted a Pakistan-backed terrorist module. Mastermind Ashar Danish was preparing to make bombs. He contacted people with radical ideology. Youth were being misled through social media. Police foiled the conspiracy by arresting five terrorists. Ashar Danish was promoting radical ideology for Ghazwa-e-Hind.
Ashar Danish, the mastermind of the Pak handler-supported Pan India Terror Module arrested by Delhi Police, was trying to expand the module rapidly and also manufacture bombs and illegal weapons on his own.
For this, he started collecting chemicals and other materials. He also started contacting people with radical ideology from Pakistan and other places for funding.
Its intentions were very dangerous; it was plotting to terrorise Delhi-NCR and other states but before it could reach any conclusion, Delhi Police foiled its plans by arresting all 5 terrorists of the module.
Ashar Danish, a resident of Bokaro in Jharkhand, came to New Tabarak Lodge in Ranchi in January 2024. There he started listening to the lectures of Dr. Israr Ahmed and gradually adopted radical ideas. During the same time, he met people like Aftab Qureshi and Izhar-ul-Haq on Instagram, whose ideologies were similar to his.
It was told that he created a group on Instagram and added 40 people to it. In that group, discussions related to the establishment of Khilafat were held.
After this, he created several groups on the internet media, calling himself the CEO of the company, professor and NGO operator, so that no one suspects him and his activities. He had recently bought chemicals to make bombs and sulfur to make gunpowder.
He said that in August he purchased copper plates to make cartridges and also bought a bullet and a pistol from Bokaro to study as a prototype for making the weapon.
Aftab Nasir Qureshi: Aftab, a resident of Kalyan, Mumbai, is a tenth pass. His father owns a meat shop. He was active on social media platforms like Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram and Facebook.
He started consuming radical Islamic content around 2020, including speeches by Tariq Masood, Zakir Naik, Israr Ahmed and Tariq Jameel. Gradually, he became a member of radical groups discussing jihadist ideologies. In this sequence, he connected with Ashar Danish through social media platforms.
Mohammad Huzaif Yaman: Yaman, a third year B. Pharmacy student, came in contact with Ashar Danish four years ago through the Omegle platform. Danish had proposed to form a "Lashkar" for Muslim youth to take up arms and retaliate through jihad, saying that Muslims are being persecuted in India. Danish had entrusted him with the responsibility of learning to make weapons for jihadi purposes.
Sufiyan Abubakar Khan: Sufiyan, a resident of Kalyan in Maharashtra, worked as a welder. He knew Aftab Qureshi for five years. Aftab regularly shared radical videos with him and added him to extremist internet media groups. On September 8, Aftab asked him to go to Delhi to get weapons from a smuggler named Jamil from Mewat.
Kamran Qureshi alias Samar Khan: Kamran, a resident of Rajgarh in Madhya Pradesh, is a 12th pass. His father is a welder. Apart from working as a lab assistant, he also worked as a typist for lawyers.
He came in contact with Ashar Danish through a WhatsApp group that promoted radical ideology for Ghazwa-e-Hind. He provided funds to Danish and suggested him to recruit more members. He was also planning to buy land with Danish to start training activities related to Khilafat.
