A significant change has emerged for LPG consumers, making booking a cylinder less easy than it used to be. While bookings used to be made at any time by simply picking up a copy and phone, that’s no longer possible. Under the new system, gas agencies have implemented strict rules regarding both the timing and interval for bookings. Therefore, consumers will need to be even more vigilant.

According to the new rules, gas cylinder bookings will no longer be available 24 hours a day. Consumers must adhere to the designated booking times. Bookings can only be made via call or text between 5 AM and 7 AM or 8 PM and 12 AM. Importantly, booking will be completely closed from 7 AM to 8 PM. Therefore, if gas is about to run out, it’s essential to plan ahead.

Additionally, a minimum 25-day interval between cylinder bookings has now been mandated. This means that new bookings made before 25 days have passed since the previous delivery will not be accepted by the system. The purpose of this rule is said to be to balance gas availability and prevent unnecessary bookings.

With these new rules in place, consumers will have to better manage their needs and time. Timely booking and spacing are now crucial to avoid any disruptions to gas supply.
