Pune Crime News: Shocking news has emerged from the Warje area of Pune. A mother strangled her two-year-old daughter to death and then committed suicide by hanging herself. Preliminary investigations revealed that the mother was depressed due to her daughter’s illness, and this mental state led her to take this extreme step.
The girl was suffering from a bone disease
According to reports, the deceased child, Sharvi Adinath Devadkar (2 years and 3 months), suffered from a bone disease. Her mother, Chhaya Devadkar (28), was caring for her, but the responsibility of her daughter’s continued illness and treatment had left her mentally distressed. Her husband, Adinath Devadkar (30), was away from home for work.
The incident occurred on Friday (Day 2). When husband Adinath returned home, he found his daughter lying lifeless in the crib. The child’s hands and feet were tied with tape. Finding his wife Chhaya hanging, the husband immediately informed the police. Based on Adinath’s complaint, the Warje Malwadi police began investigating the case of murder and suicide.
Inspection of the scene
ACP Sheetal Janve and Police Inspector Dhende visited the scene. Police and forensic teams inspected the entire house. Both were taken to the hospital, but doctors stated that the mother and daughter had died before they could be treated. Preliminary investigations confirmed that Sharvi had been strangled to death.
The incident has caused grief and shock in the entire area and the family. The child’s illness and the mother’s fragile mental health are suspected to have led to this extreme step. Police are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter and examining all aspects.
