Lines are forming in many places. Commercial gas cylinder sales have been halted. Meanwhile, new rules have been implemented regarding LPG cylinders. You will need to complete eKYC to purchase the cylinder. If you fail to do so, you will not receive a gas cylinder.

eKYC is required for LPG gas cylinders. You can complete KYC from the comfort of your home using your smartphone. Aadhaar biometrics have become easier now.

KYC Process for LPG Cylinder

First of all you have to visit the website https://www.pmuy.gov.in/e-kyc.html.

Next, you need to download the app of your oil distribution company and Aadhaar App RD.

Next, follow the steps provided in the company's app. Then, scan your face in the Aadhaar Face RD app. Your face verification will be completed.

Your eKYC will be completed after face verification.

EKYC is required for this

Citizens receive a subsidy for gas cylinders. Subsidies are available on the 8th and 9th cylinder refills. Aadhaar biometrics is required for this.

You'll still receive the subsidy even if you don't complete eKYC. So, you'll need to do this to receive the ₹300 subsidy.

You will need to complete Aadhaar authentication once per financial year. You will receive your next cylinder only after completing KYC.
